The rally pre-departure preparations include a series of seminars and social activities before the start, allowing participants to get to know one another and feel the camaraderie of sailing the offshore passage together.

Safety requirements and inspections ensure that the fleet is well equipped for the 1500nm sail across the Gulf Stream and those new to distance cruising feel reassured under World Cruising Club’s stewardship.

The arrival of the Caribbean 1500 will once again be hosted by Nanny Cay Marina in Tortola. This year, Nanny Cay Marina has made even further improvements to the docks and facilities since the hurricanes of 18 months ago, and has recently hosted the ARC Europe and ARC USA fleet for their preparations, as well as the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival. World Cruising Club are proud to support Nanny Cay, and are looking forward to a warm Caribbean welcome as the Caribbean 1500 fleet once again calls Nanny Cay its home.

The rally is open to yachts 35′ and up. On average, yachts take along four crew members, with the rally requiring a minimum of two. ARC Caribbean 1500 continues to be the best and safest way to get to the Caribbean from the US East Coast!

Welcoming rally veterans and new cruisers beginning their adventures, a 10% early bird discount is available until the end of May as entries open.
