UK South Coast, Chichester, Hayling Bay: Underwater Obstruction
Warning to Mariners about underwater obstruction comes after two vessels struck the object in Hayling Bay. Sailors are being warned to ‘proceed with extreme caution’. As reported by Practical Boat Owner.

Chichester Harbour Conservancy has issued a ‘Local Notice to Mariners No 9 of 2013’ to alert sailors to an underwater obstruction in the vicinity of the Winner South Cardinal Buoy.
It has been reported that two vessels have hit an underwater obstruction, west of the unlighted Winner South Cardinal Buoy, off Langstone Harbour in Hayling Bay, in approximate position: 50° 45′.1N, 001° 01′.2W
The location is due to be surveyed today, 30 July 2013.
Vessels are advised to proceed with extreme caution if required to transit this area.
