U.K.: Changes to Coast Guard Broadcast VHF channels
From 6th September, the VHF channels used by the U.K. Coast Guard to broadcast marine safety information will be changed. Initial announcements will still be made in ch. 16 with advice on which channel to move to.

From 10 am on 6th September 2017, the U.K. Coast Guard will be using VHF channels 62, 63 and 64 instead of 23, 84 and 86. These channels are used for marine safety information and medical advice.
All other channels remain unchanged. So 16 is still the normal initial contact and emergency channel. 70 remains the emergency channel used by DSC equipment. Inter-ship, port operations and private marina channels all remain the same.
