“We immediately ordered a new one, which was supposed to arrive this week. We hope to complete the installation of the new motor assembly and re-erect the antennas sometime between Thursday September 22 and Sunday September 25,” he said.
“So we will be off-the-air much of this week. We should be back on the radios sometime between the morning of Friday September 23 and the morning of Monday September 26.
“Everyone out there should hear us better than you have recently, as we’ll be able to rotate the
Yagi antennas we use on 8.137 & 12.350 USB.
“In the meantime, we continue to operate the morning and evening webcasts which are included in Subscriptions to SSB Voice Nets. Details on accessing Webcasts here:

Sorry to report that just 2 days after we completed repairs on our antenna rotator, anticipated Hurricane Force wind at our station in Lakeland, FL necessitated lowering the antenna tower on Tue27 afternoon.
Webcasts and recorded forecasts will continue as usual, but we will not be transmitting on the radio most likely until Monday, October 3 (we may be able to erect the antennas during the day Fri30, so we might be on
the air Saturday, October 1, but I am in Maryland for seminars a TrawlerFest and the SSCA GAM, and I will not return to Lakeland until late Sunday, October 2, so it may be Monday, October 3 before we’re transmitting again).
If any SSB Voice Net Subscribers who do not also Subscribe to Regional Daily Email forecasts would like to receive Regional Daily Email forecasts (at no cost) until we’re back on the air, please let me know.
Sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you for your support…Chris.
