The Carmel Yacht Club which was founded in the 1940s or 1950s was disbanded in 2015. The new club (Carmel Sailing Community) is a new and lively organization based on volunteers only, solely dedicated to promoting the sailing community in the area. The new club has no formal dwellings besides a lively online presence (in Hebrew), and most members' boats are located in the Haifa Shavit Marina. The community is well versed in English and is more than happy to assist visiting boaters and answer questions.
