Prickly Bay Update

Prickly Bay Marina is under new management, and things are moving!
The setting, which was already quite nice, has improved with nice settees, daily happy hour from 5 to 7, new showers/toilets, free internet when using the bar, nightly events (bands, steel bands, bingo night, etc…), improved – and good value – menu, and great service. All with a really friendly attitude.
The new manager, Darren, has lots of new ideas for further improving the experience for sailors and should be encouraged.
The bay has good shelter from all but Southerly winds and swells, and good holding.
Customs/immigration is right next to the marina facilities, open 7 days a week, 0900 to 1600 hours, and are friendly.
Dinghy security is good at the marina dinghy dock, but care must still be taken in the anchorage, where one dinghy was recently stolen at night. This is, unfortunately, a chronic issue throughout most of the Caribbean…
